Arguing When… wargames

Join this participatory demo of Arguing When… wargames – a completely new and accessible way to play tabletop wargames. Not a game with long and strict step-by-step turns, but a collaborative construction of the story of the battle with the other players. Submit a proposal for the next event. Challenge it (or not), give your arguments, and let a simple dice roll determine the outcome.

The scenario takes place during the Roman era in the Netherlands. A few Roman units are on their way, still unaware of what awaits them in the woods. Will you manage to let them continue on their way safely, or – as a Batavian – prevent them from doing so?

Artis Opus

Artis Opus is best known for its high-quality brushes, specially designed for painting miniatures. Their brushes are tested by some of the most renowned painters in the industry, and their feedback determines the design of each brush, ensuring that it meets the highest standards.

Free demonstrations of this technique will be given at the Artis Opus stand.

Japan 1584 AD: the Sengoku Jidai: the Age of Warring States. Japan has been in the grip of a bloody civil war for over a century. The Emperor is a symbolic figure without power, the office of Shogun has been vacant for a hundred years, and the great clans are fighting a life-and-death battle for sole rule of Japan.

In the centre of his domain, a Daimyo waits for his fate at night. His enemies are out to kill him. His loyal samurai are ready to give their lives for him, but will that be enough to resist the dreaded Ninja?

Lately, strange rumours have been circulating and horrific things have been found in the woods around the palace.

Are the shadows of the Ninja the only things moving through this night?

Step into the shoes of a tank commander.

Moving, finding targets, aiming and firing are all part of an exciting game of cat and mouse between tanks. From the scorching desert to the bocage of Normandy, you try to eliminate your opponent before they eliminate you. Of course, events can influence the game and bring you victory at the last minute.

It is almost two months after D-Day. Will the lone Panther tank manage to stop the Allies in their advance towards Coutances, or will the superior forces prove too much for it? Step into the role of the crew of a Sherman tank and see if you can take out the Panther.
