Pink Orc Studios / Silver Heron Studios Miniature Painting Workshop

Join the professionally guided miniature painting workshop by Pink Orc Studios at Spellenspektakel! Sessions start every hour and last up to two hours, giving you a fun and accessible introduction to the miniature painting hobby. Learn the fundamentals of volumetry, colour theory, and brush control while painting your own miniature. Choose from a wide selection of high-quality fantasy resin miniatures provided by Silver Heron Studios and bring your favourite to life at our stand. Each session begins with a professional workshop led by the experienced instructors from Pink Orc Studios, introducing the core principles of miniature painting.

The remainder of the session is dedicated to guided painting, with our instructors available throughout to provide individual tips, feedback, and support. And if you’re feeling inspired, you can even enter our beginner-friendly miniature painting competition with the very model you painted during the workshop!

Workshop

Each session starts with a 20–30 minute professional beginner workshop covering the fundamentals of miniature painting (volumetry, colour theory and brush technique), followed by approximately 90 minutes of guided painting with instructors providing individual feedback and assistance.

Workshopformat: 2-hour beginner miniature painting workshops, starting every hour (7 sessions total).
Capacity: 48 seats available at any given time

Painting Competition

Participants may enter the miniature they painted during the workshop into our beginner-friendly painting competition. Models must be handed in by 16:30h. Winners are announced at 16:45h, with three judged prizes awarded each day. In addition, one participant wins a prize through a “Luck of the Dice” draw, so everyone has a chance to win regardless of painting experience.

Participants in the 16:00h session will not have enough time to enter the judged competition but are still eligible for the Luck of the Dice prize draw.

Take your miniature painting to the next level with an exclusive masterclass by internationally renowned miniature painter and YouTuber Juan Hidalgo. Known for his clear teaching style and exceptional painting techniques, Juan has inspired thousands of hobbyists around the world through his tutorials and workshops. Hosted by Pink Orc Studios, Juan will teach two different 3-hour masterclasses: one focusing on Non-Metallic Metal (NMM) and one on Realistic Skin.

Each class is designed to provide practical techniques, personal feedback, and hands-on painting time, with Juan looking over your shoulder. The workshops offer a unique opportunity to learn directly from one of the hobby’s most engaging and approachable educators.
