Visit the Toy Festival again during Spellenspektakel! Here you’ll find all kinds of toys, in addition to all the (board)games Spellenspektakel has to offer.
Playing, games and toys go hand in hand. That’s why toys also have a special place at Spellenspektakel. At the Toy Festival, toy distributors will showcase their new products, new collaborations and ‘Speelgoed van het Jaar’ winners. See and play with the latest items from publishers like Hasbro, Schleich, Mattel and the ‘Samen Spelen’ initiative.
The following toy publishers will be present at the Toy Festival of Spellenspektakel 2024:

Samen Spelen
The Stichting Speelgoed Nederland [foundation Toys Netherlands] created the ‘Samen Spelen Plan’. The Playing Together plan stands for Good Toys, which are original, high quality and of course fun to use. Various toy projects are organized from the plan. Discover their current projects below:
Children’s Book Game
They organise the contest ‘Ontwerp het kinderboekenspel’ in collaboration with the Children’s Book Week. Elementary school children from around the country will participate and develop a game based on their favorite children’s book. The application round closes on Oct. 27. All games that advance to the semi-finals will be presented to the professional jury on Saturday, 9 November, during Spellenspektakel. You too can take a look at all the surprising creations!
Last year the game Gozert won, based on the book of the same name by Pieter Koolwijk. The game was designed by students of KBS Onder De Bogen from Utrecht and has since been released by Asmodee.
Speelgoed van het Jaar
Once again this year, the jury of experts has looked at all the new games and toys on the market and decided who deserves the title “Good Toy”. They chose the three best in each category and now it’s up to you! Vote for your favorite through their website. Will you come and admire all the nominees on November 9 & 10?
Both the winners of the public award of Speelgoed van het Jaar and the winning children’s book game will be announced during the Toy Gala on November 14.
Nostalgic 50
Fancy a trip down memory lane? Over the past 50 years, many toys and games have been introduced to the market. Many, now legendary, toys have also won the Speelgoed van het Jaar Election in the past 50 years. How many of the Nostalgic 50 do you recognize? And which ones would you like to discover now? Stop by this time capsule and play with time.

Spin Master
Entertainment company Spin Master combines toys, entertainment and digital games like no other.
This year, they are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Rubik’s Cube. Stop by the booth and learn from speedpubers the intricacies of solving the cube. They also have an online quiz for a chance to win the special Rubik’s 50 year anniversary 3×3 cube.
The Netflix series Unicorn Academy takes you to the magical world of unicorn island. What if you are destined for great adventures? Help Sophia and Wildstar defeat Ravencella and have your own adventures with the playsets! During the Toy Festival, enjoy the series and take the online quiz: Which unicorn and rider suit you?
Are you familiar with Punirunes? These new squishy little creatures love to be cared for by you. Feed them, give them a bath and play games with the 55 different figures.

Schleich
Schleich is of most famous brands in toy figures and can’t be missing from this list. From people to all kinds of animals, magical creatures and related items, Schleich has it all. Daphne of Daphne Draaft Door will also be present for a special Meet-and-Greet.
Mattel
Toy manufacturer Mattel is also present at Toy Festival 2024. In addition to their well-known brands like Barbie, Hot Wheels and Fisher-Price, we always enjoy their games.
How about a nice game of Uno? If you don’t like playing nice, go for a ruthless round of Uno Show’em no Mercy! You’ll stack, swap and grab more cards than ever before.
Classic Scrabble can’t be missed either. Play the special Pokémon edition and win extra points by laying Pokémon-related words. Gotta spell’em all!
