New adventures await you in the quest for El Dorado!

Along the way, you will encounter unknown misty valleys, where many surprises await you. In the meantime, watch out for suddenly appearing fire-breathing dragons that will slow you down, and pick up valuable treasures with your metal detector.

The Quest for El Dorado: Dragons, Treasures & Mysteries is a new expansion consisting of three modules.

The “Dragons” module introduces dragons. At the beginning of the game, they are asleep, but if a playing piece moves to the field with a dragon or an adjacent field, it must stop there and the dragon wakes up. From then on, players can move the dragon instead of their own playing piece. This is important, because you cannot move a playing piece that is in the immediate vicinity of a dragon!

The “Treasures” module introduces treasure tokens. You can pick them up if you are standing next to them and play a metal detector or remove the requested cards from the game. If you have collected 4 treasure tiles, this is considered as reaching El Dorado. You can also use a treasure tile to move to an adjacent field twice in a row without having to meet the conditions on those fields.

The “Mysteries” module introduces mysterious valley tiles. At the start of the game, these are placed face down on the playing field, but are turned over as soon as a player ends up with their playing piece on an adjacent field. From that moment on, players may enter the valley tile in the usual way. The valley tiles can also be used as normal terrain tiles, but then the element of surprise is lost.

All three modules can be played separately or with other expansions. This provides plenty of variety for fans of The Quest for El Dorado!
