Faraway
2024 Utrecht
Beyond the mists of the sea lies Alula, a mysterious continent.
Faraway is a challenging card game with a surprising scoring system, making every game unique and ensuring suspense until the very end. Faraway is played over eight rounds, with players each playing eight cards from left to right into their own playing area. Scoring at the end of the game proceeds from right to left, requiring considerable thought and planning throughout the game. Points are calculated card by card, and as you progress, more and more of the previously played cards (including bonuses and resources) are factored in. Therefore, you must ensure your cards are played in a logical order.
A game of Faraway is quick to play, and because you play mostly simultaneously, there’s almost no waiting. The rules are simple, but you certainly won’t score many points! Faraway is available with four different covers (red, blue, green, and yellow). The game materials are identical in all four colors; only the covers differ.
Faraway has won the Toy of the Year jury award, a nomination for the Golden Ludo, and a nomination for the Dutch Games Award. You’ll find Faraway on the table at the White Goblin Games booth all weekend during Spellenspektakel, ready for you to play!
