Big Potato Games

We create games that bring people together

In 2013, three friends from London quit their jobs to set up a board game company. Over the following ten years, they grew from three slackers to a team of more than 50 employees, from one game to over a hundred, and established a presence in 45 countries worldwide.

Along the way, they embarked on a series of adventures:

🥔 They launched the world’s first board game vending machine.

🥔 They patented MOOP® technology, which uses recycled ocean plastic to make playing cards.

🥔 They bring board games to festivals, to work gatherings through their organised games evenings, and to schools via the Great Inventors’ Challenge.

🥔 They become one of the first companies in the UK to introduce a four-day working week, turning Thursday into the new Friday.

🥔 They have been awarded B Corp certification, meaning they are internationally recognised for meeting the highest standards in terms of environmental and social impact.

The entire potato empire is led by Spudley, their new CEO.
