Tribun – Pugna pro Cannae

Tribun – Pugna pro Cannae is a classical board game for two players. It features the battle of Cannae taking place 216 BC near the city of Cannae in today’s Italy. A Carthaginian alliance inflicted the most devastating defeat in human history on the Roman troops. We chose this battle as a model for our board game, as it was the tactical facets that led Carthage to victory.

In Tribun – Pugna pro Cannae you have to protect your Tribune at all costs from opposing attacks. At the same time you try to bring down the enemy leader. Therefor you have an army of 35 soldiers under your command. But unlike in other games of this genre these soldiers can merge and split to form new units with different movement and attack patterns.
