Trump Therapy
A card game for the eternal politician in your circle
Do you know someone who keeps bringing up politics? Especially Trump? Then this game is for them.
Why this game?
As a publisher, I saw something that struck a chord: many people are lugging around frustration about Trump, about power, about how everything is going. I thought: what if there was a game where you could release that frustration? Because it’s not helpful to keep it to yourself. A good conversation and literally tearing or destroying a card brings relief.
What is it?
Trump Therapy is a card game you play once (yes, a true legacy experience). You draw a card, answer a question about power, leadership, or your own choices. Then you perform the action at the bottom of the card: tear, burn, cut. What a relief! The game started as a joke, but suddenly became serious. The game is meant to help you process your frustration about Trump and give it a place.
How does it work?
Draw a card.
Read the question. Talk about what you’re thinking or feeling.
Perform the action indicated on the card (tear, burn, cut).
Continue until the cards run out or you decide to end the moment. Because the cards actually disappear, you’ll play it practically 2 or 3 times.
When and for whom?
For an evening with friends, family, or a workshop where you want to go beyond the usual conversations.
For those who often discuss politics, but also for yourself: because you’re not just giving a gift, you’re creating a moment of letting go.
Well: it works best when everyone is open to conversation and willing to do something.
Note: it’s not official therapy, but it does provide relief.
Things to keep in mind
The game is a one-time thing: the cards literally disappear.
It’s intended for reflection, not as a professional treatment method.
If someone isn’t very into the topic of power or Trump, the gift might not be well received.
